Two Dead After Brampton Shooting, Police Investigating

Peel Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Brampton that resulted in the deaths of two people. Officers responded to a call just before 10:30 p. m. on Friday in the area of Rutherford Road and Weybridge Trail, where they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced both victims, an adult male and a male youth, dead at the scene. Police have not yet released any suspect descriptions and have stated that the suspect or suspects fled the area shortly after the shooting.

A large police presence remains in the area as officers continue to gather evidence and canvass for information. Residents can expect a continued police presence as the investigation unfolds. Police provided an update at a news conference Saturday morning.
