Huumans, a company dedicated to supporting small businesses, has announced the launch of its nationwide campaign, "My Canada. My Story." This initiative, kicking off on June 15, 2026, aims to put the spotlight on the resilience and innovation of Canada's small business owners, who are vital to the nation's economic landscape. With over 1 million small businesses operating across the country, Huumans seeks to give these entrepreneurs a platform to share their diverse experiences and contributions.

The campaign invites small business owners to submit a 60-90 second video detailing their entrepreneurial journey, the challenges they have overcome, and the impact they are making within their communities. Participants are also encouraged to express what Canada means to them and why they are proud to build their businesses in the country. This heartfelt approach seeks to capture the authentic spirit of Canadian entrepreneurship.

"My Canada. My Story." offers compelling incentives for participation. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 cash and a national press release, providing significant exposure. Second place will be awarded a trip to Banff, Alberta, coupled with five hours of business advisory support. Additionally, a third-place winner will receive a professionally produced video showcasing their business, distributed widely across the Huumans network. For those who prefer not to be on camera, there's also an opportunity to win a $500 Small Business Boost through a separate draw for business owners who enter their details without submitting a video. The campaign runs until Canada Day, July 1, with winners announced on July 15, 2026.

Small businesses are a cornerstone of the Canadian economy, with 98.1% of employer businesses in Canada classified as small as of December 2023, collectively employing millions of Canadians and significantly contributing to the GDP.
