Coke Canada Bottling has officially opened its new, state-of-the-art warehouse in northeast Calgary, representing a $75 million investment in the region. The 60,000-square-foot facility sits adjacent to the company’s existing manufacturing and distribution center. It will serve as a key hub for distributing Coca-Cola products throughout Western Canada.
The warehouse boasts advanced automation and high-density storage, making it one of the most technologically advanced of its kind in Canada. The facility can hold 19,000 pallets of Coca-Cola products. According to Coke Canada, this investment demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to Calgary and the province of Alberta. The project was initially announced in July 2023, with a building permit issued by the City of Calgary in March 2024.
"The investment we are making here really does demonstrate our long-term commitment to the city and to the province," said Coke Canada President Tony Chow. The new warehouse is expected to improve efficiency and capacity in the company's supply chain, allowing it to better meet the needs of customers in Western Canada.
Coke Canada Bottling operates several facilities across Alberta, including locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Lloydminster. The company took over franchise operations in Canada in 2018 through a joint venture. This latest investment in Calgary highlights Coke Canada's ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence and capabilities in the Canadian market.
