Bruno Mars fans in Toronto received disappointing news as the opening night of "The Romantic Tour" at Rogers Stadium was postponed due to severe weather conditions. The concert, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 23, has been moved to May 31, according to Live Nation.
Organizers announced the decision via social media, stating that the safety of guests, artists, crew, and staff remained the top priority. Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement for Toronto, forecasting heavy rain and potential thunderstorms throughout the day. Live Nation representatives mentioned they had been monitoring the weather forecast all week, hoping the show could proceed, but ultimately the worsening conditions forced a reschedule.
Bruno Mars addressed his Toronto fans directly, promising to "make it up" to them on the new date. He emphasized that ensuring everyone's safety was paramount for a good time. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled performance on May 31. Ticketmaster will send additional information directly to ticketholders, and updates will also be available on the Rogers Stadium app.
Mars is still scheduled to perform at Rogers Stadium on May 24, 27, 28, and 30. Fans are encouraged to check Rogers Stadium's official website and app for the latest updates regarding the remaining shows. The "Uptown Funk" singer last performed in Toronto in September 2018 at Scotiabank Arena.
